Enfield Ignatians seeks head coach
A great opportunity for coaching an ambitious North London Club (Level 7).
Enfield Ignatians RFC was founded in 1949 and since then has endeavoured to be at the forefront of rugby in the Community. We field 4 senior teams, including a thriving vets side, 12 youth/mini Teams and have recently introduced a Youth Academy, incorporating our U16, U17 and Colts Teams. Our senior 1st XV compete at Level 7 in London North West 2, with the talent and support to progress.
The existing Head Coach intends to step down from 1st XV duty at the end of this 2017/18 season and this has created a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional coach to take forward our 1st XV to meet its fullest potential.
The Club has some of the finest rugby facilities and personnel and is committed to driving rugby success both on and off the field. Internal coach education is ongoing at every level and, we now seek a Head Coach to primarily take the lead of our 1st XV squad commencing pre-season 2018. A credible budget has been allocated to ensure the success of this person including an expenses package in keeping with the candidate experience we intend to attract and recruit.
The priority of the successful applicant will be to lead pre-season training for season 2018/19. This person will then be accountable for leading the performance of the 1st XV team – which includes, but is not limited to; existing individual player development, game plan development and game-plan execution within a positive, achievement focused team environment. To be successful within this role, it will require leadership of coaching resources and collaborative engagement with the Players, the Team Captains, Youth Section, the Executive Committee and other club staff and volunteers. The Coach is supported by a fully qualified physiotherapist and Team Manager
A further ambition (but not critical) is for this role to also be involved in coaching the technical and tactical development of players within the 2nd XV which forms the larger senior squad from which the 1st XV draws, and, a contribution to the Youth Section Coaching, including the aforementioned Youth Academy (the club’s future 1st XV players), and the ongoing up-skilling of the club’s rugby coaches. However the priority is for the development of the 1st XV.
In conjunction with our search for a new Head Coach, The Club is seeking to appoint an Assistant Coach, whose role will be to assist in the rugby strategy and polices the Head Coach wishes to implement.
This is an outstanding opportunity to play a key role in the future of one of London’s finest Rugby clubs, working alongside a focussed and ambitious Executive always looking to contribute to the clubs ongoing success.
