Team Middlesex U16s ready for action
The annual Good Friday Festival of Rugby between Buckinghamshire v Middlesex took place on Friday 25th March 2016 at Amersham & Chiltern RFC, the 3rd year of this festival which has grown from one game at U16s in 2014, to cover four of the age groups.
The weather amazingly enough, was fine and sunny, which is more than can be said for the following three days of the Easter Bank Holiday.
Four matches matches were played with eight squads and 200 players participating.
“All games were played in the right spirit and were well attended by parents and supporters. The match officials did an exceptional great job and kept the games moving and entertaining and enjoyable for all,” said Middlesex director of rugby Bob Lawless. “I would like to thank Amersham & Chiltern who hosted the festival very well, making this a successful day. Thanks also to the Bucks organiser Mark Yeoman and his team of coaches and to Team Middlesex managers, coaches and medical provision provided by Heather Stephenson who looked after all of the Team Middlesex Players.”
