Haringey Rhinos seek new Senior Men’s Head Coach

Posted on 31 October 2019

Haringey Rhinos are now seeking a Senior Men’s Head Coach to ensure our teams reach their
full potential. As Senior Men’s Head Coach, you will be responsible for coordinating and
delivering pre/in-season training sessions, squad selection, pre-match preparation and
post-game player debrief for the senior men’s sides. The ideal coach will be Level 2
qualified and keen to support the club’s development and expansion. This is a great
opportunity for someone with a passion for coaching, looking for a friendly, ambitious club.
The history at Rhinos is impressive with representation at British Police Rugby level, youth
players who had unprecedented county success and have an exciting development plan in
place which includes: Development of transitioning youth players; delivery of inclusive
rugby; becoming an O2 Touch Centre and the development of a North London annual 7s/
10s event.

Haringey Rhinos RFC is a thriving rugby union club in Haringey. Based at New River Sport
and Fitness, White Hart Lane (N22 5QW), the Rhinos have access to a floodlit grass pitch, a
further grass pitch and additional grass training areas. We are settling in to our new
clubhouse nicely and our current drive is to become the North London hub for all things
rugby.

The Rhinos hold England Rugby Whole Club Accreditation and the Sport England
Clubmark. We work closely with England Rugby, local schools and other community
organisations to develop rugby union in Haringey.
The club is home to a senior men’s team, a ladies team and an ever growing youth section
(circa 200 players aged 5-17).

Currently the Men play in Middlesex Merit 3 with ambition to re-enter the Herts/Middlesex
leagues. We have around 25 active players who use. We have a selection committee
comprising current team captain and senior players who choose the teams. The results
from the last two seasons don’t reflect the talent and drive of the playing pool and someone
who is keen to develop strong & committed players would flourish at Haringey.
Training currently takes place every Thursday, from 7.30pm – 9.00pm, and games are
played on Saturdays as required by the league.

We pride ourselves on inclusive approach and everyone is made to feel welcome,
regardless of age or ability. For the right candidate, who shares the ambitions of the
existing player base, the future is very bright for the Rhinos.

Position: Head Coach
Sector: Men Senior
Contract Type: Voluntary
Remuneration: Suitable expenses

Club will cover the cost of any RFU CPD / accreditation the candidate wishes to achieve
