Facilities & Funding

There are many sources of funding, help and advice available both from Middlesex Rugby and the RFU.

If you need some specific help project, equipment or funding requirement, get in touch with Louise Latter, Chair of Rugby Development: or Middlesex Rugby’s facilities and funding manager Graham Lee at or contact RFU regional facilities and funding manager Jason Bowers, email: .

Middlesex small grants fund

Middlesex Rugby can offer funding through the Small Grants Awards Programme which makes small grants available to affiliated clubs within the county. The grants are designed to be easy-to-access awards of a few hundred pounds paid directly from County funds.

Simply talk to your RDO if you have an idea you would like Middlesex Rugby to help fund, or need to get your club out of a tight spot or capitalise on a sudden opportunity. He will bring your request to a small band of County decision makers, and we’ll get the cheque in the post as quickly as we can, and as often as we can afford.

There will be a small amount of process to ensure transparency and fair distribution. These awards are not intended to be an alternative to normal funding routes. They are for the nice and nasty surprises in life, where the usual support does not exist, or cannot be accessed quickly enough.

Examples of grant funding:

  • Grant funding could cover such items as:
  • Flood damage repair
  • Short notice, high profile event
  • New locks & security following a break in
  • Requests from local schools to use pitches (need for additional flags and post protectors)
  • Invitation to promote club at a school fair or county show
  • Urgent need for marketing collateral
