Bursaries from Middlesex Rugby
Middlesex Rugby has funding available in the form of three bursaries designed to help develop, grow and sustain your club.
To apply for any of these bursaries, please complete the application form below, ensuring that you meet the application deadlines.
All grant recipients will be required to provide information on numbers taking part and key outcomes as well as providing a case study outlining the approach taken, main actions, issues and successes.
Grow Your Club Bursary
Four bursaries of £500 each are available
This bursary is to fund the development of a new male or female adult team and ensure it will be sustainable into the next season. Different formats of the game will be considered with the aim of developing a 15-a-side team.
To apply for funding you will need to provide the following information:
- Detail how you will engage players to become part of your new adult team
- Number of players joining your club / new teams established
Applications must be submitted by 31st January 2017 with the activity taking place before 31st May 2017.
School to Club Transition
Four bursaries of £500 each are available
This bursary is to fund the development of club links with local schools to run specific rugby activities with the school. The aim is to transition players into club activities and develop new teams or integrate new players into existing teams.
Primary schools are the main target, but funding will be considered for work with secondary education establishments where a need can be shown.
To apply for this funding you will need to provide the following information:
- Detail how you will transition players into club activities and develop new teams or integrate new players into ongoing teams or flexible formats
- Number of players joining your club or new teams established as a result of this activity
There is no deadline for applications for this bursary.
16-24 Bursary
Three bursaries of £500 each are available
This bursary is designed to help clubs develop links with local schools, colleges and universities to attract players aged 16-24 into club rugby.
To apply for this funding you must provide the following information
- Detail how you will engage and communicate with players and institutions
- Detail how you will transition players into club activities and develop new teams or integrate new players into ongoing teams or flexible formats
- Number of players joining your club / new teams established as a result of this activity
The deadlines for applications are:
1) 30th September 2016 (award to be made before end of October 2016)
2) 8th January 2017 (award to be made before end of January 2017)
3) 28th February 2017 (award to be made before end of March 2017)
Monitoring and evaluation
All recipients of a grant will be required to provide information on numbers taking part and key outcomes as well as providing a case study outlining main actions, issues, success, your approach.
