- Ensure that there is in place a quality and fully transparent identification, playing, training and skill development programme supported by the very best coaching for all players (men, women, girls and boys) representing the County
- Engage fully with all clubs, schools and universities to maintain and develop the player pathway(s) to enable players to perform to their fullest possible potential and to the highest level of their aspirations, skill and experience
- Provide players, coaches and volunteers with a fulfilling and enjoyable experience during their time with Team Middlesex and uphold the spirit and values of the game
- Ensure that the Playing Budget is adequate and controlled
All Middlesex coaches and managers have an opportunity to develop within Team Middlesex and are expected to discuss their development with relevant leaders.

Guiding Principles of Team Middlesex
- Programmes are open to anyone regardless of club/school/university at- decisions are made solely on merit- be it attitude, commitment and/or playing ability.
- ‘Poaching’/’tapping up’ players though County sessions will not be tolerated.
- Experience is important- we want players/coaches to leave our programmes as better people and players/coaches than when they arrive.
