All Clubs Meeting – August 22nd 2022 – outcomes and video
Posted on 25 August 2022
First of all can I thank the 80 people from nearly forty clubs who dialled into the All Club’s Meeting on Monday from across Middlesex and Hertfordshire and from all those that made a contribution. I hope that you found it of some benefit.
The video of the meeting can be reviewed here.
Unsurprisingly there very considerable concerns not only across our leagues but right across the Division about starting the league programme on the 3rd September. However the RFU Competitions Sub-Committee have made their position very clear reinforced in the latest Community Game Update this week “There is no option of matches being postponed to the end of the season or changes to the structured season”
They have provided clear guidance about what clubs have to do should they be unable to play on 3rd September. You can see the original communication with the protocols via the attached link. It is the second article

Earlier in the week there was a further update the Community Game Update via the following link
Please read the protocols but simply if clubs are unable to play on the 3rd September either because their pitches are unfit or their players are unprepared against specific criteria they must make an application to postpone via their league secretary. The window for applications to postpone opens at midday on Saturday 27th August and closes at 5pm on Tuesday 30th August at 5pm. Of course if they issue is fitness of the pitches that decision can be made anytime up to kick off
I must emphasise that early communication between the clubs and the league secretary is absolutely essential and where both side in the fixture are unable to play both must submit applications if we are to provide a real picture of the issues facing our clubs
For those of you who would like to hear a recording of the meeting you can do so via the following link
Finally I am currently exploring where clubs are ready to play but there fixtures have gone down can play other clubs in their league in a similar position instead of their designated fixture. There seems a lot of support for this suggestion and I am happy to facilitate clubs that wish to make use of this opportunity

All the best
