Tom Petty selected for England Counties U20 tour squad

Two Middlesex players, hooker Tom Petty and prop Ben Stone were shortlisted for the London and South East squad following the U20s County Championship group game against Essex and Surrey. Ben was unable to participate because of injury, but Tom has been selected for the national squad. He described himself as “absolutely chuffed” at his selection and looking forward to the tour. The party will gather at Middlesex’s home ground, Grasshoppers RFC, prior to the departure to Romania.
